Installation of Base Mouldings

When installing base mouldings, you will need at least a crown stapler, miter saw, ruler and pencil. Watch the installation video for mouldings and strips below.

  • Start by measuring the width of the wall.
  • Saw the moulding to the correct length and install it into place.
  • The moulding should cover the gap between the floor and the wall. The nailing distance is usually 40 cm.

Wooden mouldings are designed for use indoors.The conditions must be favourable in terms of both humidity and temperature. The mouldings may not be exposed to moisture. Mouldings should be stored in the installation space for up to 14 days before installation.

Preparation of the installation work

  • Stored the packages in a dry place, proteced against rain and sunlight.
  • Panellings should be stored loosely in the same environment in which it is expected to perform. Acclimate the product at least a week in order to meet the proper installation requirements.
  • Ambient temperature and humidity at the installation site should be normal, with a temperature of approximately 20 °C and a humidity less than 50%.
  • Ensure that the walls or wall studs are straight prior to installation, with a stud spacing of no more than 400 mm, or 600 mm in walls.
  • The large surface should be install from the same production batch.

Installation

  • Install the panels in the direction of light. Make sure that the lighting is good during the installation
  • Drive the wood panel with nail into the underside of the groove and the MDF panel at the base of the protruding tongue. Use a staple gun for the fastening.
  • Drive the staples diagonally into the grooves. Do not drive the staples all the way through the panels, but let them penetrate far enough so that they do not hamper the installation of the next panel element.Attach lamps or other heavy objects to the mounting base, not directly to the panel.
  • Leave the panel edges and ends of 15 mm for expansion. If the paneling area exceeds the length of width of 6 meters, is expansion gap added 2 mm per exceeded meter.

Installation of Floors

Wooden floors are designed for use indoors. The conditions must be favourable in terms of both humidity and temperature. Floorboards may not be exposed to moisture. Boards should be stored in the installation space for up to 14 days before installation.

Preparation of the installation work

  • The floor board packets have to be stored in a dry and warm indoor space protected from rain and sunlight.
  • Mounting on the room temperature and humidity should be normal, temperature 20 C °and humidity under 50%.
  • Make sure that the joists are flat prior to installation. Maxium distance of joists is 600 mm.

Install the large surfaces of the same production batch.

Installation

  • Make sure that the lighting is good during the installation.
  • Attach the floorboard at the base of protruding tongue on a slat 45 degree angle. First floorboard is attached to the female side of the wall.
  • When you installing floor plank, leave 10 mm margin between floor and wall.
